We do not accept free guest post submissions. Every guest post is a paid placement: reviewing, editing and publishing an article takes our editors' time, and there is a fee for it. Unpaid articles sent to us are not published.
We are always looking for new writers who want to write for us. Shanghai Rummy accepts guest posts about card games, rummy variants, game nights, family games, strategy and the social side of playing cards.
Guest posting on Shanghai Rummy
Would you like to contribute to our site? If you have experience, knowledge or an interesting angle on card games, rummy or games people play together, we would like to hear your ideas.
We accept articles from freelance writers, bloggers and professionals – and from SEO writers, content writers and agencies writing for clients. Whether it is a practical guide, a thorough analysis or a piece based on your own experience, send us your article.
What can you write about?
We are interested in articles about:
Rummy and other card games
Rules, variants, house rules and how classic games differ around the world.
Strategy and skill
Hand management, reading opponents, probability and practical tips for better play.
Game nights and family play
Hosting, teaching children and beginners, scoring sheets and keeping games fun.
History and culture of cards
Where games come from, famous decks, traditions and curiosities.
Puzzles and brain training
Memory, logic and the mental side of card and board games.
Apps and online play
Digital versions, fair play, and playing with friends at a distance.
Have a look at our existing pages before you send your article. We especially value articles that answer readers' questions, explain a topic clearly or add new knowledge to something we have already written about.
Do you have another relevant topic in mind? You are welcome to suggest it.
Guidelines for guest posts
To make it easier for us to assess your article, please follow these guidelines:
Relevant to our niche
The content must be relevant to our topics and our readers' interests.
Informative and genuinely useful
The article must be informative and give readers real value.
Original content
Send your own work, not published anywhere else.
Reliable sources
Back up statistics, research results and factual claims with relevant sources.
Minimum length
Articles should be at least 800 words. In-depth guides usually work best at 1,200+ words.
Clear language
Use a logical structure, descriptive headings and short paragraphs.
Image rights
If you send images, you must have the right to use them and state any credit required.
Important about gambling: articles with gambling-related content or links are welcome, but the title must not contain gambling words (e.g. casino, betting, odds or slots), and the article must not have gambling as its main focus.
All articles are reviewed before publication. We may suggest changes or edit accepted articles for clarity, accuracy and readability. Sending an article is no guarantee of publication. We usually reply within 5 working days.
Links and placement
All accepted articles are published on these terms for links:
Dofollow links
Links in the article are dofollow backlinks.
No sponsored tag
The article and its links are not marked as sponsored.
Permanent placement
The article stays permanently on Shanghai Rummy.
1 client link
One link to your client, placed naturally in the text – not in a promotional way.

Two links to authoritative sources – or one internal link to Shanghai Rummy and one authority link.
If you represent a company, an agency or a client as part of your link building, please say so in your e-mail – we will come back to you with the details and terms that apply to your article.
What we do not publish
- Content written to place a link rather than to be read.
- Texts that have been published elsewhere, in whole or in part.
- Claims about results or effects that cannot be documented.
- Texts that promise financial gain, or gambling content aimed at people under 18.
- Purely AI-generated text that has not been fact-checked by a human.
Editorial control and unpublishing
Publication is not guaranteed. Receiving a proposal, or an article being submitted, implies no promise of publication. The editorial team assesses every article and every link individually. We may unpublish or correct material afterwards if a piece of information turns out to be wrong, misleading or in conflict with these guidelines or applicable law.
Commercial contributions
If a contribution is sponsored, commissioned by a third party or otherwise remunerated – in money, goods or services – this must be stated already in your proposal. Such material is only published if it is genuinely relevant to our readers, and on the terms we agree in writing. Undeclared commercial content is not published, and if discovered later it is removed.
Rights
You keep the copyright to your text. By submitting it you give Shanghai Rummy a non-exclusive, perpetual right to publish the article on shanghairummy.io, to edit it linguistically and structurally, and to use excerpts in our own channels. You warrant that you hold the rights to the text and any images and that the content does not infringe third-party rights. If you later want to publish the text elsewhere, contact us and we will find a solution.
Liability
Articles express the author's own views and do not constitute legal, financial or professional advice. The author is responsible for the accuracy of the content. Shanghai Rummy accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of guest posts.
